All the questions you ever wanted to ask - and a form just in case there's something we haven't covered....
Q. What's special about EDC?
We've been in business for 20 years, thanks to our customers placing their trust in us -and ABB too - they wouldn't just have anyone as their partners.
As well as an unparalleled knowledge of ABB drives and the most experienced inverter engineers anywhere in the UK, we promise to put our customers first. To provide you with the best service possible - and to listen to you and sort the problem out when things don't go to plan (and sometimes they just don't ).
We will never share your details with a 3rd party. Never. We won't sell your details on or send you 'offers you might be interested in' from companies other than us. If you don't want to accept marketing from us then we won't even send you our promotions.....but wait up -we have some really good promotions! We don't keep your credit card details on file, we don't even know what they are as our payment processors deal with this. We accept credit card payments via PayPal & Sagepay. Sorry, no Bitcoins .....as yet (but in the future probably, yes, we like to keep up-to-date).
Q. How long will it take to get my order?
It depends. If you need it next day, call us to confirm we have it in stock and that we can ship to your location. If it's in stock on a standard delivery you're looking at two to three working days. If we have to order the goods then the lead time will vary according to what the product is. Generally, if it's going to be more than 5 working days, we'll email you to advise and offer a full refund if this is too long to wait. But, we carry a HUGE range of ABB variable speed drives & Bussmann fuses (and other things!) so most orders are shipped the same day if ordered before 2pm. If your 'need it by' date changes - call us (0141 812 3222). If we can get the parts for you sooner we will (we will really, really, try). If there are additional charges from our supplier for this we'll advise you. If not, and we can get the items on an earlier lead time...we'll overnight them to you and you can 'fuggedabout' any other carriage implications.
Q. I need to return my order?
Send us an email with your order ref. We can take most things back (within 30 days) and re-stock them provided they haven't been used and are in 'as new' condition. Unfortunately we can't take back 'personalised' products, so, in the case of engineering, if we've built a panel to your spec then we can't take it back. Pieces ordered specifically for you which are non-stock will probably be subject to a handling fee which varies according to the product. We're always happy to talk to customers if you're unsure of your requirement so we get it right for you first time.
Q. I need to change something on my order?
Call us now! Tel: 0141 812 3222. If it hasn't left the building we can amend it - even if it means grappling it from the hands of our delivery company.
Q. Can I track my order?
Yes, normally when we ship your goods we'll send you an email confirming they're on their way. At the end of the day we'll have your tracking number on our manifest. Drop us an email - or make a note on your order when you place it - and we'll email the tracking number along to you.
Q. I'm not really sure what I should be ordering?
Relax, that's ok. We carry a huge range of products from ABB control gear, to drives, motors, fans and lots of engineering things in-between. You're bound to have questions. Call us (0141 812 3222) or email us (firstname.lastname@example.org). We can help. If we don't know the answer right away we'll be sure to find out and come back to you.
Q. Can I buy from the premises?
Yes you can! We're located next to the River Clyde 45 Kilpatrick Drive in glorious Erskine. We'll even make you a coffee & give you a comfy seat while we carefully pack your order for you.
Q. And will you ship abroad?
It depends where you are as this has become trickier! You won't be able to order online for goods you need shipped abroad, so contact the office for this (0141 812 3222). If we can, we'll get our supplier to ship direct to your overseas delivery address (this saves double carriage) but you, as the customer, will be responsible for duties, levies, taxes. Alternatively, you can send a courier in to us to uplift your goods and we will pack and label as required.
Q. Do you have a modern day slavery declaration (just asking)?
