Hi, my name is Erin and I am currently undertaking work experience at EDC Scotland. I'm aiming to get a taster of work in different departments such as sales, marketing and accounts.
This will allows me to see what it's like working for a business - and how it operates. So far I've done some work with sales - communicating with customers, finalising orders, creating quotes, delivery notes and pro formas. I've also worked with the marketing department - posting on Linkedin, X and updating the website with up-to-date information. Finally, I've joined the accounts team - creating invoices and using spreadsheets.
This experience will allow me to see what strengths and weaknesses I have and give me an idea of what I want to do when I leave school. The introduction to work forms part of a Foundation Apprenticeship run by West Dunbartonshire Council. So far I've found it interesting to see so many aspects of a business and I'm continuing to enjoy myself!
