A Siemens PLC system over profibus, employing ABB drives in an ongoing upgrade project that will take 3 years to finalise: a partnership between ABB Motion PLC and ABB drive Value Providers, EDC North East, to form an integrated digital powertrain which will optimise energy efficiency, improve reliability and achieve precise control.
When this large-scale manufacturer wanted to upgrade to ABB drives they knew they could rely on the synergy between ABB and their select group of authorised drive Value Providers.
Speaking about the ambitious project, which will utilise a variety of ABB inverters, EDC NE’s General Manager, John Guthrie, reiterated the benefits of customers working with an accredited ABB Value Provider: “We found working with ABB very beneficial.
