Travelling to the capital of Skye, the stunning Portree, some of our engineers are spending the week replacing existing softstarts with ABB ACQ inverters (drives specially created for the water industry).
The two 75kW units will be up and running in the plant this week, where their installation will provide better energy efficiency and longer term reliability (as well as less wear and tear on the system) for the water treatment plant they are being installed in.
Created with multipump, flow calculation and process protection features, the newly fitted ACQs should take to their role …like ducks to water.
