Ryan is EDC’s latest addition to our offshore team after passing his BOSIET with Escape Chute Training. The comprehensive safety training enables Ryan to join the ranks of inverter engineers allowed to work offshore on all types of vessels and platforms.
Welcoming him to the offshore division, current member and veteran of vessels, Aaron Quinn commented: “Ryan will have the same opportunities I’ve had to work on FPSOs, (floating production, storage and offloading vessels) offshore installations and semi-subs. He’s learned the safety procedures and how to handle potentially dangerous situations. This is vital, as safe working is paramount in offshore jobs. In his offshore role Ryan will be installing, commissioning and conducting preventative maintenance on VSDs .”
Added Ryan: “I’m glad to have the opportunity to enhance my skills with the expanding team of EDC offshore engineers. There’s great cameraderie!”
