Winch me up before you go go…
Top EDC North East engineers, Matthew Golightly and Neil Keenan were on an uplifting job this week when a customer asked for assistance with a winch test.
The test used 4 off ABB ACS880 variable speed drives (132kW) working in master / follower.
After a few runs of the system a faulty encoder card stopped pulling its weight.
Matt quickly diagnosed the problem and the card was promptly replaced, allowing the test to be successfully completed.
Winch way or another, EDC North East will always get the job done. A full support package is now in place to keep things moving, so for the customer, the only way is up!
