EDC North East’s newly completed ABB ACQ580-34 (a bespoke drive for the water and wastewater industry) has just completed its workshop test run.
This week it’ll be taken to its permanent home at a water site, where it’ll undergo additional site testing.
Connecting to a wide range of water and wastewater systems, the ultra-low harmonic drive comes with a host of industry specific features: sensorless flow calculation, multipump control, level control, soft pipe fill, dry run protection, quick ramps and a solution for keeping the impeller of the pump clean.
