EDC engineers save the day on Christmas eve for a customer with an inverter issue

‘Twas the night before Christmas…and the production line was down.

It was 2.30pm to be precise, on Christmas Eve, when the emergency number flashed, revealing a site with a service contract had experienced the breakdown of a drive. It was crucial to production.

A veteran drive from the 1980s had gone down - after many years of faithful service (and faithful servicing).

Springing into action, one EDC engineer, close by, headed immediately to site to remove the old drive. Another loaded up a replacement and sped to site.
The result? By 6.30pm the new drive was up, programmed and fully functional – much to the delight of the plant manager.

We’re not sure Santa himself could have done any better…
